Reach for this category when a photograph needs to read as printed matter: posters, zines, risograph style plates, or any piece that wants the texture of a press rather than a smooth gradient. It holds up best on images with clear tonal separation and starts to fight fine detail once the source runs under roughly 800 pixels wide.
